Staff

Norman M. Friedman, MD

Dr. Friedman is a native of Akron. He obtained his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine, followed by residency training at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, and Neurology at Ohio State University Hospital. He is board certified in Neurology, Vascular (stroke) Neurology, and Sleep Medicine.

Karen E. Koplin, CRNP

Karen grew up in Akron, Ohio. She completed her BSN and MSN at The University of Akron. She is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner. Her background is in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and subsequently neurology. She has been practicing adult neurology since 2007.


Amanda L. Staudt, CRNP

Amanda is a native of Northeast Ohio. She completed her BSN at Kent state University. Her background is in critical care and she is a Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse. Amanda then attended Cleveland State University where she obtained her Master Degree in Population Health and Forensic nursing. From there she obtained her Master Degree as a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Kent state University. She became a member of Akron Neurology, Inc., in 2012, specializing in inpatient neurology at Akron General Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital of Akron.


William J. Freiberg, DO

Dr. Freiberg received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2008. He subsequently completed his residency training in Neurology at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in 2012. In 2013, he competed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, with training in both electromyography and EEG.  In august 2013, he joined Akron Neurology, Inc., providing hospital-based neurological consultation, as well as electro-diagnostic testing. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
